OLD - Ishan goes to daycare

June 6, 2007 was my first real day at daycare (Mom and I had done three transition visits the prior week, but I guess that doesn’t really count cos Mommy was there with me most of the time. I had a great first day. Didn’t cry at all when daddy dropped me off (although that was to change soon). I did fuss a lot when it came to sleeping on my own in a cot. My daily routine is something like this. Daddy and I drop off Mommy at the train station at 7.30. Then Daddy drops me off at daycare. ). I cry when Daddy drops me off, but usually stop when Cindy or Jessica (my “teachers” in Infant Room 4 ) pick me up and hold me. Cindy and Jessica give me breakfast, help me drink milk from a sippy cup (I have stopped bottles altogether on my own- am a big boy now and don’t need bottles) and then put me down for a nap. I nap in a crib on my own now. Just put me down when I look sleepy and I drift of to sleep on my own. I play with my schoolmates, Aadi, who is five months old, Alex and Mark are four month old twins and Kylie is two months old. I like poking at the little ones to see if they will move. Next door, Ava and Lily who are both over one are also my friends. We play together. There are lots of toys and we also get to do activities like painting, bubbles and feeding the fish. I have been at daycare for a full three weeks now and I am having fun, but I still look forward to the end of the day when Daddy comes to pick me up.

June 21, 2007 –
I have my second tooth! Upper left side one. And the one next to it is clearly visible too….so I am predicting it will descend in a couple of days. No fussiness this time. NO fever. No crankiness. No tons and tons of drooling. I think I surprised myself too.
