What does my name mean ? The name 'Ishan' has its roots in the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit. It has multiple yet interrelated meanings. In its simplest form, it
represents the sun or the sun's energy.
It was also one of the five main incarnations of the Hindu god Shiva, out of whom the universe is believed to have been created. Ishan thus also represents one of the five cosmic elements per Indian- viz, space and the power of creation. Besides, the name also appears in the 'Vishnu Sahasranamam' as one of the thousand names of Lord Vishnu.
I hear that according to Indian tradition, the name shapes the life of the newborn child. Yeah. SO thats quite a name, I have to live upto !
